The Nose Knows

Day 3 - Photo 3. Okay so here it is day three with about six hours left in the day and I had not even thought about picking up a camera. And as I arrived home I was greeted by my friend and faithful hound, Cooper. As each of us arrive home he will give us a good sniff. Someone once told me that for a dog, scent, was like reading for humans. Scent is how they get their information. I wonder if he sensed the panic as I begun to fear I would not be able to stay the course. Yesterday, I felt as though I had rushed the sign and palm tree photos. And now today with my dog I wanted to shoot about 100 frames to make sure I'd gotten it right. Well, the weekend is here and I am opening my mind and igniting the left side of my brain.

I remember, just a few years ago, when Cooper arrived on the scene. Although a bit skeptical at first, Georgia put his picture up in the computer lab along with the other children. I knew then that he had truly made it, become one of the family. She talked about how smart Cooper was, how he seemed to understand that his life had definitely taked a turn for the better. Dogs learn everything they need to know in one-tenth of the time it takes their humans.

Dogs do learn in less time. A good friend of mine says we should all handle stress like a dog. SHE says "If you can't eat it or play with...pee on it and move along."

Being an animal lover, I loved this one. I really liked the angle.
