The Light at the End of the Tunnel

Today was another "photo safari" day. This time Noah and I were joined by my friend Loring. Well, actually the adventure was prompted by an invitation from Loring. Following yesterday's Winter storm that dumped a couple of inches of snow in the mountains Loring suggested the three of us, cameras in tow, head for the local mountains.
There was plenty of snow to be had, thrown and photographed but far and away this is one of my favorite photos. Often it's the unexpected that yields some of the best photo opportunities. It was this water and graffiti filled culvert that gave us one of the more unusual photo ops.
Beside the day of photos...again it was the people I kept company with that was the real moment of the day. The chance to spend the day with my son and my friend shooting photos, talking and enjoying the day was the real treat. It is always great to hang out with other photographers and share the way we see the world.
