In The Line of Duty

"On Friday morning a California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer Tom Coleman attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle sped away. Officer Coleman gave pursuit. He radioed his dispatcher that the fleeing vehicle was reaching speeds up to 100 mph. That was the last anyone heard from Officer Coleman.

Coleman was killed instantly after colliding with a big rig as he passed through an intersection still in pursuit of the escaping vehicle. Four people in the vehicle were captured and taken into custody, unharmed, shortly after Coleman died.

Officer Coleman is survived by a wife and two children."
